Opening our awareness into the natural world while coming into the present moment is proven to make us healthier and happier; something we can all use. With the average American spending 95% of their time indoors, these options make it simple and refreshing to get outside for a well-deserved mental and physical boost”, says Dawn Ambrose.

Experience nature, and in doing so, learn about yourself” –Japanese Proverb.

Join Dawn Ambrose of Woodland Findings for a nod to nature with forest bathing and flower arranging.  By now you know it is not “taking a bath” but rather bathing in the aroma of the forested atmosphere through our sense of sight, smell, sound, touch and taste. Forest bathing and flower arranging are both Japanese-rooted practices that use nature to improve well-being. Flower arranging brings nature’s harmony indoors, bringing the outdoors in, which happens to be the slogan of Woodland Findings and great way to bid farewell to Wednesdays in the Woods summer series as participants take home a vessel with stems that are arranged with their own intentions and purpose.

  • Advance registration and payment is required. Expect confirmation via email
  • Participants should be able to walk sturdily on uneven ground for a short distance
  • Suitable for ages 10+

THANK YOU again for a chance to release some tension in the woods and encounter things both great and small. Carmen

Jacob and I had such a great time. I immediately put our gnomes on my knick-knack bookshelf front and center. I can’t wait to do another! – Sabrina

I loved our forest bathing session with you. It was such a great experience and I would love to do it again. It was the highlight of our trip. – Dana and Stephen

Our forest bathing session left a lasting impression. I am still thinking about how the landscape revealed itself to me over those seven minutes we sat in one place. I’m inspired to bring more of this noticing into my daily walks. It was also incredibly inspiring to be around someone creating a life and job they love. Katia Savchuk
